I was saddened to hear of Ms. Manghelli's passing. Anyone who knew her had the same comments. Unbelievably tough but such a soft heart. The toughness only came when she believed you were not maximizing your potential. I found out the hard way and she delivered a great life lesson that is remembered vividly. I know she had the same positive impact on so many over the years and will be sadly missed.
Rest in Peace Ms. Manghelli.

Unforgiving, hard as nails, and never satisfied. Your made me work and drove me to be better. I've been teaching 24 years and could not touch the impact you have made on all of your children. Godspeed you wonderful woman.

The Manghelli family thanks you all so much for your sincere words. She was and is, indeed, a truly incredible servant and disciple. We knew, simply by who she was, that she was loved and respected by many, many more than just our family. We appreciate all of your tributes more than you know. May God bless you just as Aunt Cathy prayed, in Jesus' Name.

Cathy was a true inspiration to me when I first met her in high school at St. John's Church. She was very supportive of my interest in the Catholic Church and my eventual conversion to the faith. She is a grand lady and will be missed dearly.

Miss Manghelli was one of the finest teachers I have ever known. She inspired a lifelong love of reading and writing for me that continues to this day. I often think of her when teaching language arts to my students. She will be greatly missed.

Ms. Manghelli stands out as one of my very favorite teachers and I was lucky to have her for my sophomore and senior years. She inspired a lifelong love of literature, and more importantly, she was a model of what it means to be a generous human being in service to others. She had an enormous impact on LCC and her students, and I'm grateful to have had her in my life during such a formative time. May she rest in peace and enjoy all the rewards she deserves.

Many of us were lucky enough to have Ms. Manghelli impact our formative years and prepare us for life's many challenges. I was lucky enough to have her for homeroom, which was the best way to start the day. God bless and thank you for everything.

I deeply regret that I will be out of town and will likely miss the services. Cathy was a wonderful teacher, colleague, mental sparring partner, Trivial Pursuits partner, and friend! May she rest in peace!

Ms. Manghelli inspired us in a myriad of ways, not the least of which was her love of great literature and her empathy for quixotic dreamers. It's impossible to thank her for her years of service, her wonderful teaching and guidance, and the impact she's had on my life. We'll catch you, Ms. Moore, & all the LCC greats at our Heavenly Reunion! Until we meet again. . . Love & Peace be with you!

So many of my good HS memories include Ms Manghelli, including anything to do with film, literature, and creativity (so yeah, pretty much everything). Dante, Gulliver, etc, came to life for me through her - Thank you and fare well.

A wonderful teacher with whom I was blessed to have for English junior and senior year. One of the many who showed compassion and understanding during a difficult time after Sally passed in 1980. God bless you Ms Manghelli and may you find comfort in HIS embrace.

Mrs. Manghelli had a wonderful sense of humor and had high expectations of her students. She was no-nonsense yet would let you know with a slight grin that she wasn't quite as stern as she wanted you to think she was. She was an amazing and memorable educator and I will miss seeing her around town. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.
