LIMA — David Lee Lieurance, 70, passed away at 9:39 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, OH.
David was born on Tuesday, December 21, 1948, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Frances William and Geneva (Endicott) Lieurance. On July 24, 1971, he married his beloved wife of 47 years, Cynthia (Joseph) Lieurance, who survives in Lima.
David was a 1967 graduate of Bath High School. He served in the Navy, in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1971. He was proud to be a veteran. From 1971 to 1997 he was an Assistant Store Manager at Sears, and from 2000 to 2010 he was the Maintenance Director at the YMCA.
David enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren; which he would do anything for. He also enjoyed collectibles, and was a handyman around the house. He could fix anything and also enjoyed computer work.
He is survived by his sons: Jason (Mysty Thomes) Lieurance and Ryan (Jillian) Lieurance, daughters: Angela (Patrick) Stewart, and Karri (Ryan) Kelly, all of Lima, grandchildren: Jonathan Lieurance, Jillian Lieurance, Carson Heffner, Hudson Lieurance, Stella Lieurance, Cadence Kelly, Kira Kelly, and Riley Kelly, a sister, Sharon (Jim) Shaw, and brothers: Bob (Shirley) Lieurance, Rick (Cheryl) Lieurance, Don (Teresa) Lieurance, and Scott (Dawn) Miller.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and step-father, Marion Miller.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Bruce Tumblin officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Allen County Veterans Services.

Sorry for your loss. After workouts at the YMCA I would sometimes run into him and we would catch up on Bath basketball. He was a good player and person. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
