"Butch" White
WAYNESVILLE - Brien L. "Butch" White, 59, of Waynesville passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 1:35 p.m. at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Bloomington.
Funeral Services for Butch will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Waynesville United Methodist Church with Rev. Becky Barrow officiating.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening July 31, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Waynesville United Methodist Church.
Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Waynesville.
Quiram Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta is in charge of arrangements.
Brien Lee White was born on February 9, 1953 in Lincoln the son of Justus Lee and Frances J. Price White. He married Cindy Shoemaker on July 7, 1977. She survives.
Also surviving are his children: Carrie Welch of Austin, TX, Zack (Ashley) White of Danvers, Josh (Nicole) White of Normal. One brother: Allen B. White of Clinton. Two grandchildren: Grady and Kameron White.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son: Jason White.
Butch graduated from the McLean-Waynesville- Armington High School in 1971.
He was a lifelong resident of Waynesville. He was the owner of White's Farm Equipment LLC.
He was a member of the Waynesville Township Board and Sons of American Legion Post # 1189.
Butch enjoyed restoring antique vehicles and tractors along with sitting on the deck enjoying time with his family and friends.
Memorials may be made to Brain Cancer Research or the charity of the donor's choice.
