About Nebraska

Nebraska is called “The Cornhusker State” as it is a major producer of corn. The state had a large population growth in the 1870s as the land is perfect for cattle grazing. Nebraska has a large agricultural sector which produces beef, pork, corn and soybeans. The iconic drink Kool-Aid was created in Nebraska in 1927 by Edwin Perkins and Kool-Aid is the official soft drink of the state. Nebraska is split into two time zones, with the state's eastern half observing Central Time and the western half observing Mountain Time. The University of Nebraska Cornhuskers football team is much beloved in the state. The program has won five national championships since 1970.
