DONN THOMPSON Obituary

Donn Thompson, 82, of Lodi, CA entered into rest on October 8th, 2025. Donn was born in Fresno, CA and grew up on a ranch in French Camp, CA. He attended French Camp Elementary School and Manteca High School. He graduated from San Francisco State University where he earned his Bachelors degree and teaching credential. Donn returned to French Camp where he began his 40 year long teaching career at French Camp Elementary.
Donn met his wife Arlene while they were both members of their local 4-H clubs. They married in 1967 and made their home on a ranch and vineyards in Lodi where they raised quarter horses and sheep. They shared many wonderful years together with their three daughters.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Arlene (Mettler), daughters Sarah Thompson, Jackie (Troy) Knapp and Leslie Dahlquist. His grandchildren Jackson, Ainsley, Ruby and Hazel.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Rose Thompson, brothers Jack and Ken Thompson and son-in-law Jeff Dahlquist.
Donn's service will be held on Saturday, November 1st, at 12:00 p.m. at Collin's Family Funeral Home. 123 N School St, Lodi, CA.

It is with great sadness that we share our condolences with the family and friends of Donn Thompson. Donn´s kindness, dedication, and positive spirit touched many lives and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time. May his memory bring comfort and continue to inspire those who were blessed to know him.
