REBECCA CARDENAS

1962 - 2025

Rebecca Cardenas of Thornton passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at the age of 63. She was born December 14, 1962 in French Camp, CA to parents Alfredo and Ernestina and has been a lifelong resident of San Joaquin County. She worked in agricultural services and proudly acted as a vice president of the Thornton Resident Council; she also spent her time being a paranormal investigator and an administrator for numerous Facebook groups.
Becky was known for her great sense of humor and warm personality. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, classic low rider cars, listening to music (to include the Beatles, Mana, Enrique Iglesias.. just to name a few), and collecting various TV and music memorabilia. She was an excellent cook specializing in enchiladas, tamales, and cookies. Becky was also an artist; she enjoyed crafting, drawing, and even illustrated some published book covers. Most of all, she was always one to put others first; she was someone you could rely on to stand up and volunteer as she was very generous with her time and care
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Chino, and her trusty companion dog, Jojo. She is survived by her children, Cesar D. Garza (Denise), Michael N. Garza, and Rachel E. Gatejen (Nic); grandchildren, Damiyan, Cesar "Leo", Sophia, Abram, and Elijah, and many siblings including Maria, Raquel, Tony, and Roberto.
Services will be held on Wednesday, October 1st with a visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., in Lodi, until the graveside service at 12:00 p.m. at Galt-Arno Cemetery, 14180 Joy Dr., in Galt.
