Janet Lucille Christensen Obituary
Janet Lucille Christensen of Lodi passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, surrounded by family.  Born December 13, 1937 in Red Bluff, California to Richard and Lucille (Wilson) Stone. Janet graduated from Sacramento High School and the following summer met Bernard (Bernie) Christensen.  The two were married in 1956, began to raise their family, and eventually moved to Stockton, settling in Lodi.
Janet was a homemaker who raised five children and proudly volunteered her time over many years at St. Anne's Catholic Church, where she always enjoyed spending time with her "church office family", as well as Daughters of Isabella, Legion of Mary, and as a Pink Lady at Lodi Memorial Hospital.  A fan of watching all the big tennis matches and horse races, she was an even bigger fan of her grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought so much joy to her life.
Married to Bernie for 62 years, sadly he passed away less than four weeks before her.
Survived by children: Deb Parkins of Chino, Jim Christensen (Laura) of Sacramento, Michael Christensen (Deborah Cook) of Morada, Sue Christensen of San Francisco, and Lisa Thalken (Tim) of Lodi.
Grandchildren: Stefani Luna (Jimmy) of Claremont, Natalie Gonzaga (Hector) of Chino, Tyler Thalken of San Jose, Kelsey Thalken of Los Angeles, and Jacob Turner of West Point, NY.
Great grandchildren: Talia, Tayler, Travis and Troy Luna, Madison and William Gonzaga.
Sister Marsha Castelli of Utah, brother Fred Stone of Shingle Springs.
Preceded in death by her parents and sister Sheila Ellenberger.  Following her in death, Janet's dear sister Darlyne Kircher who passed away just four days later.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Lodi, at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow in St. Anne's Hall.
