Patricia Plines Lemos

1951 - 2025

Patricia "Pat" Lemos, age 73, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Lodi, California, to Joseph Plines Jr. and Edna Plines, Pat's life was marked by a deep faith, warm friendships, and a spirited sense of adventure.
She was educated at St. Peter's Lutheran School and Lodi High School, later graduating from Grace M. Davis High School in Modesto. Pat also attended Modesto Junior College before beginning a 28-year career at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. She worked across multiple departments and formed lifelong bonds with colleagues who became dear friends.
Pat's love for the Lord was reflected in her membership at CrossPoint Church, where her spirit and generosity touched many. She was an avid tennis enthusiast and spent countless joyful hours with friends on the court. Her hobbies also included playing Mexican Train and Canasta, traveling with her birthday and girls' groups, and volunteering at The Gallo Center for the Arts.
Her happiest moments were spent with her beloved son Brian and daughter-in-law Beth, and especially her great-nephew Jaxson. She found serenity at the beach and delight in sharing meals at her favorite Carmel restaurants. Pat's compassion extended to animals; she held a special affection for her cats Socks and Grace, and was a trusted dog sitter to many families in her community.
Despite being diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia in 2017, Pat continued to live with strength, grace, and joy, doing everything she loved and surrounding herself with those she cherished.
Her legacy lives on in her family, her friendships, and the countless lives she uplifted with her humor and warmth. She will be deeply missed.
Pat is survived by her son, Brian McLaughlin, and his wife Beth; her sister Nancy Callahan and husband Mike; her nephew Chris Wall (DeDe), and their children Lauren Wall Taylor (Brayden) and Caleb Wall; her niece Amye Wall Quarles (Chad), and their children Haley Quarles, Haden Quarles, and great-nephew Jaxson Quarles.
In accordance with her wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held.
