Paul was more than a friend; he was a person who made life better just by being in it. He had a gift for understanding people and always knew how to find the good in them. I'll always remember the sound of his laugh during one of our joke-telling sessions. Whether it was offering a listening ear or a simple, encouraging word, he had a way of making you feel seen and valued. His passing leaves a hole in our hearts, and it's hard to believe he was taken from us so young. Rest in peace, Paul. You will be missed more than words can say.

My sincere condolences for losing Paul - he was a great person. I´m especially sad for those he left behind. I knew him through his awesome wife Heather and her sister Margaret Hotting and some work scenarios. Rest In Peace Paul - you were loved by a wonderful family!

I am so sorry! We've known each other since we were kids at Temple Baptist. In high school we would sit and talk in the campus school yard and he always gave me great advice. He and Mike were both so funny! They took me to my first (and last!) snipe hunting experience at the river near their house. He will never be forgotten!

I've known Paul for as long as I can remember. He was kind, funny and very smart. I enjoyed working with him and talking about our industry, Paul was my friend. I still cannot believe Paul is gone. My heart goes out to Heather and their family. Rest in peace Paul, the world will never be the same without you.

What a shock to hear of Paul´s passing! Paul and I went back to grade school, a true long time friend. We enjoyed times in Lodi, Humboldt, Fresno and So Cal. A lot of memories that cannot be discussed!! He recently missed a birthday party for one of our friends only to promise to connect soon. So sorry that did not happen. May God´s peace be with you my friend!

I worked for Paul at FSC. Paul gave me the opportunity to expand on my career in the Insurance market. Paul had a great sense of humor, was a great leader, and family man. I can still hear Paul´s laugh from when we sat in meetings. My condolences to the Areida family.

Paul was the BEST! Incredible sense of humor and ALWAYS lit up the room when he entered. His smile will forever be in my memories. HUGE LOSS. I´m certain he´s being greeted by the BEST upstairs!
Hugs to Ann, Heather and family.

Paul wasn´t just my step dad, he was the man that stepped up. How lucky my brother and I are to have been raised by him. My brother was 3 & I was 8 when he came into our lives. I´m 44 now. He made a tremendous impact on me and my work ethic, music taste, & overall how to care for others. I wasn´t so easy my teenage years and might have mentioned to my mom when they first started dating that I saw him on Americas Most Wanted, lol, but he didn´t give up that easy & I´m so glad he stuck around. He was the person I always went to for advice or just someone to talk to. I can´t believe he´s gone. This is such a loss and deep pain I´ve never felt. I´ll miss you Paul & I love you!

Paul and I were great friends in high school. He used to whip my butt in tennis and seemed to enjoy making me run all over the court. LOL We used to laugh a lot. His family even welcomed me coming over on Christmas day to play games. Rest in peace my good old friend. Many many great memories......

Paul was a kind and humble man, with the knack for telling the funniest stories. I worked for him 4 different times (we joked that I was a glutton for punishment and never learned my lesson) and I consider him a friend. The world is a little darker without Paul in it. I sure miss seeing him, talking to him and texting him. My deepest sympathy to his family for their huge loss.

Paul was my friend for 50 years and I will never be able to fill the void caused by his passing. We bonded during our time at Humboldt State and Paul was one of the funniest people I ever met. He could take the ordinary, and with his clever way of turning a phrase, have everyone laughing out loud. He care about his friends, and loved his family and was genuinely a nice guy to everyone. I miss you Paul and I will never forget you.
