Alice M. Arnold, 84, long time resident of Yorktown Heights, NY passed away on April 5, 2016. She was born on December 12, 1931 in NY, NY to the late Joseph and Anna Cushing.

Alice is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Ray, loving children; Ann (Steve) Cutignola, Eileen (Fred) Grabosky, Ray (Ann) Arnold, and Mary Arnold. She is also survived by 7 cherished grandchildren; Lauren Cutignola, Steven (Victoria) Cutignola, Kevin Cutignola, Kimberly (Blake) Chalfant, Fred M. Grabosky (Dana), Raymond Arnold, and Lena Arnold.

Alice and Ray got married in 1954 and shortly thereafter moved to a variety of places with the U.S. Army. They lived in Austin TX, Ft. Sill OK, Ft. Knox KY and eventually spent 2 years stationed in Germany. They made great memories as they explored Italy and France. After moving to Yorktown in 1961 they have spent the last 55 years travelling throughout the United States, with a few cruises thrown in. As a young mother Alice took great pride in raising her children. As they got older she joined the workforce doing retail sales, accounting, and office management at Grants, Caldor's, LLoyds and Kmart. Alice was very devoted to her church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. She contributed by being one of the first teachers of religious instruction classes (CCD) and later by assisting in the office. She was a long time member of Seton's St. Matthews Guild.

Family and friends will honor the life of Alice on Saturday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and Sunday from 2 to 6pm at Yorktown Funeral Home in Shrub Oak. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 11am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Interment to follow Assumption Cemetery.
