February 23, 1997-December 21, 2015. Henry "Hank" Edward McWilliam, a Rye High School senior, died unexpectedly on December 21, 2015 at the age of 18.

He is survived by his parents, Dr. James R. McWilliam and Catherine S. McWilliam (née O'Neill); his sister, Cate McWilliam; and, his grandmothers Ruth McWilliam, of Tampa, FL and Anne O'Neill of Largo, FL. His grandfathers Thomas H. McWilliam of Tampa, FL and John T. O'Neill of Rye, NY and his uncle, Edward Towle McWilliam preceded him in death. Born at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, OK, Hank was a devoted son, brother and grandson. He was an avid ice hockey player, having been a big part of the defense for the Jesuit Tigers in Tampa, FL; Tampa Scorpions; Utah Regulators; Islanders Hockey Club; Connecticut Junior Rangers; and, the Rye High School Garnets. Hank loved the sport and especially, the camaraderie of the team. Hank will be remembered for his sharp sense of humor, his love of animals and children, and his cutting-edge style. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him as he touched so many lives with his compassion, sensitivity, ability to bring laughter to any situation, and his larger than life personality.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, Rye, NY on Monday, December 28th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye on Tuesday, December 29th at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hank's name can be made to the SPCA of Westchester online at www.spca914.org.
