Markowitz, Selma
Selma Markowitz died on Sunday, October 29th. Selma, 87, grew up in the Bronx, and lived in Mamaroneck for 57 years. She taught reading in White Plains for 25 years.
She married Joseph Markowitz and had three children, Michael, Robert and Dan. She loved music, the arts, books, lively conversation, and her family.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert and Dan, and grandchildren, Kate and Callum. Memorial at Larchmont Temple on Nov. 3, at 1 pm. Shiva on Nov. 4th,12-5 pm at 12 Craven Lane, White Plains.

I was friend of Selma. She was a very enlightened woman. We had a lot in common and I always enjoyed having lunch with her when she came down to Florida. We lost touch when I tried calling her last year. I'm very sorry to hear of her passing.
