LAURIE SISOYEV Obituary
June 3, 1952 - October 7, 2015
Laurie Kathleen Sisoyev went home to be with our Lord and Savior on the 7th of October. Born in Omaha, NE on June 3, 1952, Laurie was the third child of Agnes Montgomery Scott and Clovis Scott. She attended St. Benedict Catholic School in Omaha. In 1959, her mother married U.S. Serviceman Johnny Honeycutt Jr., after which the family relocated to Denver, CO, then to Bitburg Air Base in West Germany. It was there that her mother gave her an artist's oil painting set, which inspired her to begin painting. Following high school, she studied art at Allan Hancock Junior College in Santa Maria, CA. In addition to painting, Laurie had a life-long love of horses, having owned a horse named Spook and another named Dolly. Laurie worked in the piping design department at C.F. Braun Engineers while attending California State University at Los Angeles. In 1975, Laurie met her future husband George Sisoyev, and they were married on July 1, 1978, in San Marino, CA. George and Laurie made their home in Whittier, CA, where their four girls Goldilieve, Melanie Grigorevna, Amy Anne and Hannah Beth were born. In 1991, the family moved to Laguna Niguel, CA. She founded the Rancho Capistrano 4H Club in San Juan Capistrano.
The Memorial Service will take place on the 22nd of October at South Coast Christian (31501 Avenida Los Cerritos, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675) at 11am. Laurie is survived by her husband, four daughters and grandchildren.
