Gregory "Buzz" Stewart Randall
Louisville - Gregory "Buzz" Stewart Randall, age 72 of Louisville, KY passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019. He was born in Haddam, KS on October 26, 1946 the son of Buck and Marjorie (Shuman) Randall. Greg was a 1964 graduate of Durrett High School and a graduate of Seton Hall with a degree in accounting. Greg volunteered for and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served throughout Europe and Africa. On August 1, 1970 in Patterson, NJ he married the love of his life Leontia Catherine O'Flaherty of Newry, Northern Ireland; she preceded him in death on February 17, 2014. Greg was an active member of the Holy Trinity Parish and volunteered to coach youth sports long after his own children had graduated.
Greg was a devoted husband to Leontia for 44 amazing years. He is survived by four children; Edwina Zettler (Jim), Liam Randall (Katie), Colin Randall (Whitney), and Morgan Randall. Greg loved his 7 beautiful grandkids; Ava Zettler, Jimmy Zettler, Vivian Zettler, Eamon Randall, Kieran Randall, Bennett Zettler and Siobhan Randall. Greg is preceded in death by his parents Marjorie and Buck, and his sister Barbara. His twin sister Beverly Randall Detroy was present at birth and present at the end. He will be dearly missed by his sister Jayne and brothers John, Lin, Wally and Steve.
The family wishes to express our thanks to the caregivers at Norton Hospital and Hosparus for the kind, caring and compassionate support they provided through Greg's care. A special thanks to all of the friends, family and loved ones that helped fill Greg's final days full of joy while both comforting and supporting the family.
A reception will be hosted on Tuesday January 15, 2019 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Arch L Heady Funeral Home, 7410 Westport Road. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Trinity Church, 501 Cherrywood Rd at 10:00 AM on Wednesday January 16, 2019. Greg will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered in Ireland with the love of his life, Leontia, at a future time. The family requests any donations to the Louisville Zoo Foundation in his name in lieu of flowers.

I remember your dad so well. My boys also graduated from Durrett. We lived in the same neighborhood, on the other side of Standiford Lane. He did the taxes for my husband's business and did mine for a time after my husband, Bob, passed away. He was a wonderful guy and a hard worker. Prayers for all the family.
