GUTERMUTH, JAMES D., 81, died Monday, April 1, 2014.
He was retired from Naval Ordnance and a member of Southeast Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen.
He is survived by his children, Patsy Harman (Louie) and Sandy Robertson (Jim); 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a niece.
His funeral is noon Monday at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Lane with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.

So very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I just found out.Helen and Jim were an amazing couple! Helen was my boss at Stewarts's for years and we remained friends until her death.Still kept in touch with Jim but was shocked to hear of his death. He will be missed. I'm sure they are dancing with Jesus now!

I have so many great memories of being in Bible Bowl with Mr. and Mrs. Gutermuth. They were so special to me. So glad they are together again.

What a wonderful Christian couple Jim and Helen were! May God wrap His Loving Arms around you and comfort you. What a blessing it is to know that this isn't "goodbye" but "See you later" .. where there are no goodbyes, sadness, and sickness. God bless you always.
