GANT, MAJ. WILLIAM THOMAS, 92, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013.
He was a member of St. Stephen Baptist Church, retired from Ford Motor Company and an Army veteran, having served in World War II, Korean and Vietnam conflicts.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Marie Gant; son, William Terence Gant; grandchildren, Savonda Nicole and Monigue Marie Gant; brother, James Douglas Tandy; sister, Mary Easterline Gant Chastine; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at his church, 1018 S. 15th St., with entombment in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation: Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at A. D. Porter & Sons, 1300 W. Chestnut St.
The family requests that memorials be made in his name to Hosparus of Louisville.

Knightsbridge Road will not be the same without "Gant" and my briother-in-law Ted who predeceased him. I will certainly miss our chats when I visit. Sincere condolences to Mary, Terance and family.
