CASEY, ROBERT CHARLES, 67, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at his home.
He attended Flaget High School, the University of Louisville where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree, and Western Kentucky where obtained a Masters of Arts in Education.
Bob played football for Flaget High School and University of Louisville. He is on the "L" Club Board of Directors. Bob served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He taught at the high school level at Flaget, Bishop David, Holy Cross, Holy Rosary, Providence, Trinity and Sacred Heart Academy .He is a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his sister Mary Pat Chapie and previous wife Irene Casey.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Casey; sister, Mary Ann Burke (Jerry); three daughters, Shannon Casey (Tony), Colleen Lincoln (Patrick) and Jennifer Lichtefeld (Joe); two stepsons Andrew Ford and Artie Ford (Stacy); and seven grandchildren.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 6516 St. Bernadette Ave., Prospect, KY, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville.

I am so sorry for your family's loss. Mr. Casey had a beautiful spirit and he was such a joy to see at school. He was always smiling and laughing. Heaven gained a wonderful man. My family is holding yours in our prayers. What a special angel to have.

I hold you all in my prayers. I first worked with Bob in 1988 at Holy Rosary Academy, and was glad to become his colleague again at Sacred Heart when he joined our faculty in 2008.
