DONNELLY, JOSEPH PAUL, 67, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014.
He was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a quiet, intelligent and well-read man who was a gentleman and loved his family very much. He especially loved children and babies. He was a distiller engineer with Old Fitzgerald and Ancient Age for over 18 years. He then started his own business and was Mayor of Plantation for a number of years. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Paul Donnelly, Sr. and Rose Marie Connors Donnelly; and his son, Lawrence Joseph Donnelly.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of over 45 years, Olga; children, Stefanie Donnelly, Susan Cartwright, Laurie Donnelly; grandchildren, Summer and Morgan Cartwright, Jason, Megan, Brittany and Ashley Donnelly and Annika Klein; brother, Raymond Donnelly (Carol), Charles Donnelly (Theresa); sister, Susan Grancio (Michael), Kathleen Kilbride (David); his fur-baby, Charlie. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Veronica Kavorkian and Rob Tapp, Annie Tapp and Noah Kavorkian, also Dave and Janna Donovan for their love and care of Joe.
Funeral ceremony will be 7p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with visitation from 2p.m. until time of service.
