Ellsworth Daniel Cook Jr.

COOK, ELLSWORTH DANIEL JR., 88, of Louisville, passed away Saturday July 18, 2009 at the Masonic Home.

He served with the U.S. Army Signal Corp during World War II, he was a 33 degree member of the Masonic Lodge #638, a member of Scottish Rite, Kosair Club, York Rite, Telephone Pioneers of America, Long Run Sportsman Club, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Grabeel Cook; son, Keith Cook; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Janice Cook; sister, Dorothy Rider; granddaughters, Emily, Tessa, Marta and Meredith Cook.

His funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation is 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Highlands.
