Thompson, Mary Dell Bond,

92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2015.

She was born February 5, 1922 in New Liberty, KY to the late Mollie and John Bond. She was a graduate of New Liberty High School and married her high school sweetheart, Clarence "Bossy" Thompson on January 24, 1940, and later moved to Louisville in 1941. She retired from Bacon's after 15 years. She was a faithful member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church for over 71 years, where she was active in the Women on Mission, and the Agape Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, J.W. Bond, and her husband of 69 years.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Linda Thompson Gunter (Robert), three cherished grandchildren, Bob Gunter, Lisa Lewis (John), Laura Keeling (Mike), her great-grandchildren, Jenna and Austin Lewis, Tate Edwards and Ryan Keeling, and her two sisters-in-law, Bertha Cummins, and Katherine Thompson, along with many nieces, nephews, and longtime friends.

Visitation will be held 3-7 pm Monday, at Arch L. Heady-Cralle , 2428 Frankfort Ave. with a service to celebrate Mary Dell's life on Tuesday at 10:00 am at Crescent Hill Baptist Church, 2800 Frankfort Avenue. Interment will follow at Wheatley Cemetery in Owen County.
