Ronald L. Ferguson

FERGUSON, RONALD L., 77, of Fisherville, died on Monday, December 31, 2012 at his home.

Born in Louisville, KY, he was a graduate of the class of 1953 of St. Xavier High School where he was a member of the football and track teams. He attended the University of Kentucky and the Speed School of Engineering, where he graduated with a degree in electrical engineering. He worked most of his career in the printing industry in rotogravure, and was retired from World Color Press of Dyersburg, TN. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and an avid UK fan.

Ronald was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Marie Bohr Ferguson; brothers, Richard, Robert and Larry; and sisters, Norma and Carol.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sue Creech Ferguson; children, Michael of Fisherville, Scott (Annette) of Union City, TN, Lyn (Kasey) Ferguson-Martin of Mt. Washington, and David (Debbie) of Kingwood, TX; grandchildren, Benjamin, Daniel, Joseph, Savannah, and Sean; sisters, Jacqueline (Bob) Colyer of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Mary Dolores Walters of Louisville; brother, Russell (Sherry) of Birmingham, AL; and numerous nephews and nieces.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church; 3705 Stone Lakes Drive, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home in Jeffersontown, 10600 Taylorsville Road.
