Mary Elizabeth Black

BLACK, MARY ELIZABETH, 87, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Jefferson Manor Nursing Home. She was the former Mary E. Pool, of Carmi, IL, retired owner of East End Answering Service, founder of the St. Matthews Welcome Wagon and a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church. She was also a member of the John Marshall Chapter of The Daughters of the American Revolution and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and the youngest of her two sons, Stanley E. Black. She is survived by her son, Donald R. Black (Holly); and two granddaughters, Emily C. Lamb (Chris) and Tracy Elizabeth Black. Funeral services will be noon Tuesday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane, with burial in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the John Marshall Chapter of The Daughters of the American Revolution.
