Charles D. Scott

SCOTT, JUDGE CHARLES D., 72, of Crescent Hill, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2007 at his home. He was a native of Lexington, KY. A graduate of University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville School of Law. He retired in 1996 as a district judge, having served 19 years. He served as a member of the Kentucky Judicial Retirement Removal Board. He was a member of the Peterson-Dumesnil Board in Crescent Hill and a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Rosie S. Scott; his son; Douglas E. Scott II; his granddaughter, Jasmine M. Scott; his sister, Louise C. Ostergren, and the Schenkenfelder Family; and lastly, his many friends at the Frankfort Avenue Beer Depot. A service to celebrate Charlie's life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Sanctuary of Crescent Hill Baptist Church, 2800 Frankfort Ave., with private burial at Cave Hill. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are entrusted to Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home. Expressions are requested to: Home of Innocents or the Crescent Hill Community Council.
