Jon Donlon Obituary

Jon Donlon

Louisville - Favorite son, adored brother, beloved fiancée, devoted canine father, celebrated nephew and cousin, cherished friend and co-worker, Jon Donlon was born on April 24, 1983 and was taken far too soon from us on May 13, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Annie Donlon, Tom Donlon and his maternal grandfather, Barney Cecil.

He is survived by his parents, Mike and Kathy Donlon, his sisters, Katie Robbins (Jim) and Lauren Donlon (Mika), and his fiancée Alayna Sizemore and innumerable family and friends.

Jon lived his life fully and lovingly. He graduated from St. X High School, received an Associate's of Arts degree from Sullivan University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He has been a valued and loved employee of Vision First for eight years. He was a passionate participant for 12 years in the annual Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics. In 2015, he met Alayna Sizemore, who became the love of his life, and fiancée.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, May 18 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Rd. with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 - 8 PM on Thursday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to contribute to the Kentucky Special Olympics in Jon's memory.
