Anna Christine (Mattingly) Mundt Obituary
Anna Christine (Mattingly) Mundt

Louisville - Anna Christine (Mattingly) Mundt, born in Hardinsburg, KY on April 2, 1938, life's journey ended and was reunited in heaven with her beloved Don on September 9, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Cyril Mattingly and Helen Beard Mattingly, her beloved husband Donald A. Mundt, her son Michael Walker Mundt and daughter-in-law Julie Hedden Mundt.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children Ellen (Jim) Burkhardt, Mark (Pam) Mundt, and J. (Maryhill) Mundt, and grandchildren Alexandra (Zack) Hornback, Lauren (Michael) Higgins, Elizabeth Mundt (Alex Epperson), Emily Mundt (Brendan Carroll), Christina Burkhardt (Josh Luckett), and JD, Natalie & Isaac Mundt, sister Lynn Seymour, and brothers Rod (Barbara) Mattingly and Larry (Susan) Mattingly, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends, most notably, the Pres Girls.

Chris's primary career was being the best wife, mother, and Gran ever. She and Pop never missed a ballgame or performance of any of their grandchildren, when they were able. She was a devout card-sender and note-writer, and insisted that everyone receive a proper introduction upon entering a room. She was a proud member of Creative Homemakers.

The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Wheeler for his gifts of friendship and compassion, along with the truly remarkable medical care that he provided to Gran.

A mass in celebration of Gran's life will be held at St. Athanasius Church, 5915 Outer Loop, on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 7:00 pm, with visitation at the church beginning at 5 pm and also following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Presentation Academy Student Aid Fund, 861 south 4th Street, 40203, or Sister Visitor Center, 2235 W. Market Street, 40212.
