89, of Louisville, Kentucky and formerly of Dearborn, Michigan passed away on September 17, 2017.

Betty was a secretary for Brown Forman for many years and she was the owner/operator of Interstate Venetian Blind Company of Louisville, KY and Tireland of Mount Washington, KY. She also worked in the customer service/gift wrap department at Bacon's/Dillards Company. Betty's greatest joy was spending time with her loving family.

Betty was born on December 17, 1927 in Greenup County, Kentucky to the late Clarence and Virginia Owsley. She was also preceded in death by her great-grandchild, Julian Thomas.

Betty is survived by her children, Kimberly French (Bill) of Louisville, KY, Jeff Stevenson (Jean) of Louisville, KY and Douglas Stevenson (Deborah) of Summertown, TN; grandchildren, Jody Stevenson of Asheville, NC, Leah Thomas (Chris) of Summertown, TN, Tyler French, Cooper French, Annabelle French and Angelina Adams all of Louisville, KY; great-grandchildren, Lulie Thomas, Charlie Thomas, Juna Stevenson; and former spouse & dear friend, Bernard Stevenson.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243), followed by a Celebration of Betty's life to start at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

In loving memory of Betty, memorial donations may be made to Summit Academy or The Swan Conservation Trust.
