Whitefish Bay - Carmen Elizabeth (nee Duffy) Singleton, age 37, passed away peacefully at her home in Whitefish Bay, WI on September 9, 2018 after a nine-month battle with brain cancer. She died in the arms of her husband Pat and was surrounded by her loving family and in spirit by a wonderful and caring community.

Carmen was born to Robert and Dolores Duffy in Grand Rapids, MI on September 17, 1980 the youngest of three children and only daughter. She was an accomplished athlete and fierce competitor playing softball, soccer, competitive cheer and, later in life, a running enthusiast competing in several marathons. She graduated from Western Michigan University, where she received degrees in both Marketing and Economics and additionally she received her MBA from Texas A&M - Corpus Christi.

She met the love of her life on a chance phone call to her brother that her future husband answered and the two were married on July 23, 2005. Carmen made her career about raising her three little girls and a better mother there never was. Carmen was generous, caring, trustworthy, and fiercely loyal towards everyone she met and her faith in Jesus Christ was a shining example to all that knew and loved her.

Carmen is survived by her husband, Patrick F. Singleton; her three children Iris, Mary Frances, and Alice her parents Robert and Dolores Duffy her brothers and their spouses Greg (Antoinette) Duffy, Ryan (Jenny) Duffy her in-laws Robert and Alison Singleton, sister-in-law Jessica Singleton, sister-in-law Meredith (Ben) Bownas, and brother-in-law Charlie (Kris) Singleton and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who loved and cherished her deeply.

The family will greet friends at a visitation at Feerick Funeral Home in Shorewood from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, on Friday, September 14, 2018, with a rosary to follow immediately at 7:00. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 15, at 10:45 AM, at St Monica's Catholic Church, corner of Silver Spring and Santa Monica, Whitefish Bay.
