Stinnett, David Earl,

Stinnett, David Earl, 70, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday, August 4, 2017.

He was a great man who never met a stranger or turned down a person in need. He had a love for golf and had a short game compared to no other. He was a long-time member of L&N Golf Club (The Crossing), the Masonic Highland Park Lodge 865 and Our Mother of Sorrows Parish. He was also an avid U of L fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Viola Stinnett; daughter, Loretta Lynn Stinnett; granddaughter, Chelsea Elizabeth Stinnett; great-grandson, Michael Vernon Allen; son-in-law, Michael Ciolek and sisters, Betty DuVall Rhodes and Marcella McCune.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Jo Stinnett; sons, David A. Stinnett (Kristy); daughters, Tammy Jo Robinson (Todd) and Kimberly Stinnett; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Donnie (Christine), Kenny, Ronnie (Carol) and Bobby Stinnett; sisters, Shirley Marrinan, Barbara McCauley (Jerry), Linda James, Connie Summers (Rick), Wanda Dorton (Junior), Kathy Stinnett, Wilma Rogerson (Gilbert) and Bonnie Stinnett and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison Avenue at Barret Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40204, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 Noon-8:00 P.M. Monday, August 7, 2017 and 9:00-11:00 A.M. Tuesday.
