Bumps, David Ronald,

Age 49, passed away on September 8, 2017 at Baptist Hospital East after a valiant and inspiring 27 month fight with cancer. Through it all, he never lost his amazing strength, faith and sense of humor. David lived life on his terms. He loved football, U of L, the Rams, Star Wars, all things economic and political, and above all, his family and friends. David had a special way of helping others laugh, think differently and know how much they were loved. David is a native of Middlebury, VT and Glasgow, KY but made Louisville his home. A graduate of Glasgow High School and Centre College, David spent his career in the construction and material handling industry and ultimately, started his own business, Lifting Solutions. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and Midland Trail Golf Club.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Connie Mason; grandparents, Raymond and Rita Bumps and Stowell and Della Fenn; and stepmother, Janis Bumps.

He is survived by his wife, Gretta Feldkamp; sons, Andrew and Ryan Bumps; father, Thomas Bumps; stepfather, Joseph Mason; siblings, Marisa Bumps, Corrie Bumps (Jennifer), Anthony Mason (Laura), Will Bumps (Tiana), Tracy Miller Bumps; nieces, Madeline, Peyton, Hayley; nephew, Zachary; and many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

His funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 15 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Cherrywood Road, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at Pearson's 149 Breckenridge Lane, on Thursday, September 14 from 4-8 p.m.
