Springfield - , age 88, formerly of Louisville, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Springfield Nursing & Rehab Center.

A native of Washington County, he was born on April 10, 1930 to the late Joseph Thomas and Julia May Carney Homan.

He was a 1949 graduate of Springfield High School. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky. Frank served two years in the United States Army.

From 1953 until 1968 he worked for Fidelity And Deposit Bank. He then worked for Akers Realty in Bloomfield. From there he opened his own real estate agency which he operated until retirement.

He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and was a member of the Springfield Lodge #50 F.A. & M. for over 60 years. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and for many years attended Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville.

Preceding him in death was his parents and an infant sister, Julia Bell Homan.

Survivors include a brother, Joe Bill Homan of Springfield and five sisters, Sarah Ethel Keeling (John Edward) and Nancy Barr Goatley of Springfield, Mattie Greer of Bardstown, Margaret Jackson (Darrell) of LaGrange and Mary Tom Grider of Louisville and thirteen nieces and nephews as well as many loyal friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 15th at the New Hope Baptist Church.

Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery where masonic rites will be conducted.

Visitation will be after 1:00 Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to, New Hope Baptist Church.
