McAdam, John Lucas,

92, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Norton Womens and Children's Hospital.

John was born in Airdrie Scotland on August 24, 1925. He had retired from the former Kentuckiana Purchasor as the advertising manager where he had 30 years of service; was a member of the American Legion Highland Post 201; St. John Paul II Catholic Church; and the "32" Club. He was also a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis M. and Mary Lucas McAdam; his wife, Doris L. Willmeier McAdam; and his brother, Thomas Anthony McAdam.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his children, Rick McAdam (Melissa Anne), Cathy Hill (Jim) and Kim Grantham (Bill); grandchildren, Kristin Taylor (Greg), Kevin Hill (Lanie), Cassie Schlader (Zac), Jennifer Carpenter (Chase), and Jeff Grantham (Morgan); great grandchildren, Milla, Cate, Jaxson, Ben, Lochlan, Rachel, Roslyn and Maclan; as well as a close friend, Eddie Sanders.

John will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 A.M. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at St. John Paul II Goldsmith Campus, 3521 Goldsmith Lane, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 - 8 P. M. Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road.
