Kay Lynn Foley Crutcher Obituary
Kay Lynn Foley Crutcher

Louisville - of Louisville, Ky passed away on Tuesday, July 31st. Born, September 25th, 1943. A graduate from Waggener High School and the University of Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Murriel and Jimmy Lynn.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend who led by example, not by words. Kay touched the lives of so many, a person of deep personal faith. Throughout her illness, she still laughed, never hesitated to speak her mind, and lived life on her own terms. Her positive attitude and actions were an inspiration to all who were lucky enough to have known her.

Her life was enriched by the love of her husband, Walter; son David Foley (Wendi), Lexington, Kentucky; daughter, Tess; sister Gail Zeh (Steve); grand-daughter, Katie Foley Deinema (Mason), Charleston, SC.; stepson Tab Crutcher; step-grandson Chase Canady; and special nephews Andrew Zeh (Jessica) and Evan Zeh (Katherine); as well as countless friends.

Kay's imprint on our lives will last forever. She never failed to answer the call to any charitable cause or anyone in need. Her extensive volunteer work began at a young age as a Cub Scout den mother and carried on throughout her life to include Big Brothers and Sisters, the Foster Care Review Board, and as a hospital advocate for The Center for Women and Families for over 15 years. Kay's favorite charity was Green Hill Therapy, where she served on the board. Green Hill's mission shared her love of animals and those who need extra love in their lives.

Visitation will be from 4-7:30 pm on Thursday, August 9th at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane. Funeral Service at 10 am Friday, August 10th at Pearson's. A private graveside service will be held at Kay's request following the funeral.

Please consider a gift in her memory to: Green Hill Therapy, 1410 Long Run Road, Louisville, KY 40245
