Dotson, Kenneth Harold,

85, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 with his family by his side.

He was a Christian, member of Lakeview Fellowship in Bowling Green and a 32nd degree Mason. Dad was in the Army for three years at the time of the Korean War and was stationed 18 months in Alaska. After the war he went to work for L&N Railroad in 1952 and retired as the CMO with many accomplishments in 1998 from CSX in Louisville after he was called to work on the General #152 in Georgia.

Dad was also the chief mechanic and go to for everything. He not only served his family but many people, especially when he was a member of the Sunset Masonic Lodge, Louisville Scottish Rite, Kosair Shrine Temple and past patron of O.E.S. Queen Esther Chapter.

He leaves the love of his life and wife of 56 years, Margaret Dotson; sons, Joe Redmon (Diane), Steve Redmon (Ruth); daughter, Karen Dotson Ables (Eddie); grandchildren, Melissa Pace (Beau), Leslie Clemmons (Chad), Ken Redmon (Samantha), Monica Fisher, Jamie Carter, Chris Planchon, Shannon Hearn, Megan Hannon, and William Ables III; 22 great grandchildren; the first great great grandchild (Bear) due in September; sisters, Diana Troost, Patty Dotson; brother, Mark Dotson (Ann);and a niece who loved him like a dad, Sandy Dotson Neuling.

His funeral is 11:00am Wednesday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Rd with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 2:00-8:00pm on Tuesday.
