ALDRED, Martina M.,

95 of Louisville, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the Forum at Brookside.

She was born October 28, 1921 in Louisville a daughter of the late Martin Barker and Viola Marie Bowles Barker. Martina was a homemaker, having raised five children. Later after the children were off to school she worked in various places to include Brown-Forman for over 10 years.

Martina was passionate about her family and finding her roots through her genealogy research. She was a catholic by faith. Martina was a member of the Louisville Genealogical Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, The Rose Club and Life member of American Defenders of Bataan and Corregidor.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, John B. Aldred; siblings, Donald Barker, Juanita Fahey (Larry), Janice Wolford (Jack) and Norman Barker (Alleene).

Martina is survived by her children, Kathy Blandford (Jerry), Michael Aldred (Nancy), Patricia Roehm (Rick), Kevin Aldred (Jackie) and James "Jim" Aldred (Cathy); eleven grandchildren, Matt Blandford (Mandy), Shannon Moran (Matt), Amy Krieg, Heather Houston (Randy), Ryane Turner (Chad), John Aldred (Krista), Brandon Aldred, Jerry Aldred (Tracy Wiehebrink), Tracy Souders (Roger); two step-grandchildren, Tiffany McGrath (John) and Jay Shain (Kelly); 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Shirley Conn (Ed), Mary Helen Corbett (Pete), Del barker, Gerry Barker (Cindy), Denny Barker (Pam), Ronnie Barker (Janice) and Alan Barker (Debbie).

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated noon Friday, September 15, 2017 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1000 N. Beckley Station Road with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville
