Hall, Mary Louise Portman,

86, passed away on July 28, 2017 with her loving family by her side.

Mary was born in Louisville on May 7, 1931. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker and retired secretary, a member of St. Albert the Great Parish, and an avid Louisville Cardinal fan. Mary adored her grandchildren and was the happiest when spending time with her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 58yrs, James G.Hall, her parents, Charles and Mary Portman; siblings, Jimmy (Kitty) and Bernard (Joyce) Portman; LaVerne Gillespie, Jeri (CJ) Clark, and Wanda (John) Fitzpatrick; in-laws, Jack(Martha), Dickie, and Sr. Jane Hall, and grandson, Steven Vanover.

Mary is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Denise and Marshall Kaufman, Sheila and Al Naegeli, and Brenda and Mike Vanover; grandchildren, Marshall (Casey), Jimmy (Katrina), and Matt (Janna) Kaufman; Lauren, Andrew, and Melissa Naegeli; Michael (Bethany), and Amy Vanover; brother, Charlie Portman (Mary Ann); brother-in-law, Phil Hall (Sharon); and sister-in-law, Mary Alice Hall.

Our sincere gratitude to Mary's amazing caregiver and special friend, Dawn Bow, and to the dedicated staff at Westport Place Health Campus.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Tuesday August 1, 2017 at St. Albert the Great, 1395 Girard Dr. She will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-8pm Monday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road.
