Chase, Raymond Lloyd,

90 of Chandler, AZ, passed away on May 27, 2017.

Born to Ogle and Lillie Bell Chase, of New Albany, Indiana in 1927, Raymond was a member of the DePauw Masonic Lodge and a US Air Force veteran. Married to Doris Jean Uhl of New Albany in 1954, they moved to Phoenix, AZ. Raymond was employed at AiResearch Manufacturing of Arizona in 1955 as machine tool repairman. Raymond helped to raise six children with Doris. Raymond enjoyed traveling and helping his children, grandchildren and friends. He was a master of all trades, could fix, repair, rebuild, design, modify, machine and gorilla proof almost anything imaginable. He loved camping, rock hounding, and finding deals at Park and Swap. Retired from Honeywell after 37 years and then went to work helping his children, and friends accomplish project after project. Raymond lost his wife Doris to cancer in 1992. He missed having a spouse to share his life with but kept busy helping one of his best friends work as an oversize load truck escort. Raymond enjoyed the traveling and hanging out with Pat. Raymond met and married Virginia Trowbridge, sharing his knowledge and abilities with her and her family. They were Snow Birds for a number of years spending summers in Indiana and winters in Arizona.

Raymond is survived by his sister Deanna Scott (Charlie) of Louisville; wife Virginia Trowbridge of Chandler, AZ; six children, many grand and great-grandchildren, and an abundance of wonderful friends.

Memorial service at Pure Heart Church (Dome Sanctuary) July 29th, 2017 at 11 a.m., 14240 N. 43rd Ave., Glendale, AZ 85306. Reception to follow service.
