SMITH, REGINALD PHAROL, 62, died Saturday, November 11, 2006 in a bicycling accident. He was born in Quincy, IL, to Manford and Addie Smith. A registered Professional Engineer in California, he was self-employed, serving as an engineering consultant. An elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and member of Central Presbyterian Church, he loved people and gave generously of his time and many talents. He brought his varied experience in engineering and design to Project Women, Inc., serving on their Board of Directors. An artist, jeweler, painter, sailor, mountain climber, bicyclist; a wonderful man of many interests and talents, he shared his joy of life with all he encountered. He is survived by his wife, Mary Elva Deloteus Smith; his daughter, Cynthia Marie Vaznaugh (Michael); and grandchildren, Josh and Kristianna Vaznaugh; and son, Corwin Preston Smith; sisters and brothers, Naomi Cookson, Amy Bergeron, Garland Smith (Elaine), Gregory Smith (Kathy) and Darwin Smith (Donna); and nieces and nephews. There will be a service of witness to the resurrection at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Central Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. in the chapel.
