Louisville - Steve Leon, 90, of Louisville passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018.

Steve was a native of New York City, N.Y. and had served in the U. S. Navy & Army & WWII & Korean War . He retired as a truck driver for the Courier Courier-Journal after 37 years of service and was a member of Incarnation Catholic Church,, St. Lawrence Men's Club, Incarnation Seniors Club, volunteer at St. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital for 13 years, Known as the Cookie Man at St Mary's & Elizabeth Aux. Avid U of L Cardinal Fan & Life Long N.Y. Yankee Fan.

American Legion # 220 member for over 50 years , 40 & 8 Past Post Commander & Past Department Vice Commander of life member of Post 220. Preceded in death by his parents, Esteban and Juana Leon; and a brother, Joseph Leon.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Shirley Leon; four children, Michael Leon (Alice), Joseph Leon (Kit), Janette Slone (Don) & Diana Alvey (Alan); eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be held 10 AM Saturday at Incarnation Catholic Church, 2229 Lower Hunters Trace; burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.

Visitation will be Friday October 12th from 1:00-3:00PM and 5:00-8:00PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
