Benningfield, Vincent Henry "Hank",

83, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 peacefully at home.

He was the co-owner of the old Bestway Trucking Company, an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church, the St. John Sick and Benevolent Society, and was a former leader of Cub Scout Troop 67.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Berger Benningfield; a son, Kevin Benningfield; sisters, Mary Ray, Mildred O'Conner, Catherine Hertog, Dorothy Hull, and Agnes Hunley; and a brother, Edward Benningfield.

He is survived by his children, Vince Benningfield (Laurie), Linda Flynn (Robert), and Andrea Wilcher; grandchildren, Derrick Wilcher (Alicia), Melissa Flynn, Bobby Flynn III, Amber Wilcher and Nathan Wilcher; sisters, Frances Oliva, Alice Messex and Joetta Trusty; and his best friends, Paul Craig and Ernie Deimer.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a. m. Tuesday at St. Stephen Martyr Church, 2931 Pindell Avenue with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 - 8 p. m. Monday at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Highway.
