Harvey David Leffler Obituary
Leffler, Harvey David,

Harvey David Leffler, dreamer, teacher, philosopher, and gentle tough guy, passed on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at the age of 77.

Harvey enjoyed life until the day he passed. He lived his life playing cards, pool, football, basketball, tennis and golf, and was even known to join a pick up game into his 60s. A modern day Renaissance man, Harvey loved history, geography, politics, art and music. He was an irreverent social critic with a quick wit and mind, always seeing the world in his own unique way. Harvey was a kind, gentle man who spent several years of his life as a night club bouncer and owner. Born and raised in Louisville, he was a legend in the city's southend, being loved by many, and respected by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife and partner of 50 years, Donna Leffler, their children Scott Veatch (Dana), Suzanne Carter (Larry), Stephanie Ikanovic (Damir) and Stacy Miller (Tom), their grandchildren Jordan, Zachary, June, Trevor, Maddie, Tatum, Sidney, Harvey and Anne and a great grandson Kamden. Harvey will be dearly missed, but fondly remembered.

A Memorial will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 2 to 4 PM, at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd., to celebrate his life. Cremation was chosen.
