Raymond John Stuedle Sr. Obituary
STUEDLE, RAYMOND JOHN SR., 79, of Louisville passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010.

He was born November 14, 1930 in Oldham County, KY to the late John G. Stuedle and Josephine Fuchs Stuedle.

He was a retired supervisor for Zachary Taylor National Cemetery for over 42 years and was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Gruetli Helvetia Society and the Swiss Charities Society.

He was the former basketball coach at St. Albert. He was a former official for the Kentucky High School Athletic Association, which included the sports of football, basketball and softball, the American Softball Association and the United States Slow Pitch Softball Association.

He is also preceded in death by his brother, Henry (Bro Romuald CFX) Stuedle and a grandson, John Anderson.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Catherine (Winkler) Stuedle; three sons, Ray Stuedle Jr., Paul Stuedle (Gale) and David Stuedle; two daughters, Mary Ann Anderson (Gary) and Linda Gordon (H. Miles); three sisters, Mary R. Wright, Ann Toon (Al) and Rita Owens; two brothers, Joe (Mary) and Rich (Kathy) Stuedle; five grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Eric, Chris and Tara; one-great grandson, Austin; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday at St. Albert the Great, 1395 Girard Dr., with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. on Friday at Pearson-Ratterman Bros. Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road.

Memorial gifts in the form of contributions may be made to Hosparus (Hospice of Louisville) or Kosair Children's Hospital.
