You were not just my uncle but you were another Dad to my sisters and myself. You always made sure we were okay. If we ever needed anything at all you were always there. I miss you so very much. We were so sorry to hear about Sammy, My dad (Ronnie Garrett) was his cousin, and he was very sad to hear about Sammy passing away. We have also recently lost someone special to us, my baby sister Vicki was recent killed in a motorcycle accident 3/2/06 and we are still trying to handle life without her, But we try to take peace by knowing that we will all see her again when we all meet again in heaven. Try to take peace by knowing that he is in the Lords hands now anxiously awaiting the reunion with all of his loved ones and he will rejoice with the Angels in heaven when you do reunite.I will keep all of you in my prayers and again I'm so sorry for your loss.May the Lord carry you through the hard times and bring you peace through this terrible loss.

I'll miss Friday mornings with Sammy and C.L. at the Louisville Flea Market. I'll miss the way Sammy almost always managed to lovingly get under my skin ... simply for the sport of it! I'll miss the way Sammy playfully called me "Dannie's Daughter". I'll miss Sammy. However, he will not be forgotten. When I look into the mirror and see that part between my two front teeth, I'll remember the words I heard at Sammy's church service. He wore The Garrett Gap better than any of us.
I pray that strength and courage are with all of you during this trying time.

Virginia and Barbie, I was very shocked to hear about Sam. I remember the first time I met him (not knowing he was Barbie's dad) I introduced myself as Barbie's mom. When he said"I'm Sammy Barbie's Dad", I could have fell under the table. You will be in my prayers, I love you.

We are so saddened to hear about Bro. Sammy. He was an awesome person to get to know. He had a way to make you laugh and his love for you two was so deep, you could see it in his eye's. He will truely be missed and not ever forgotten, When I think of him, I can't help but think of Bible Quizzing. When the kids where at nationals, he would always come to support them, and the kids loved him for it. He had a way with kids. Maybe it was because he was such a joyful person or a kid at heart. He had a way abut him and kids were drawn to him and loved him. We love you ALL and our prayers are with you today and always.

From our first acquaintance with you and Sammy at the Kentucky District Campground, you have both been so kind to our families. Aunt Virginia and Barbie, we just wanted to tell you how sorry we are. Sammy touched alot of lives in the time we got to share him and for that you should be proud. He always made us laugh. We'll miss him greatly. We never had "Shortening Bread", but he must have loved it as much as he sang about it. Just remember that even though we will miss him, he has won the victory today. The devil tried to get him many times, but his love for the Lord kept him safe. Now he is at home and awaiting our arrival. You will be together again some day. We love you, Sandy, Angela and Lorrie.

We heard about Sam's death at the Stewart Flea Market in Ft Wayne, IN. Everyone was in a state of shock.
We have know Sammy for many years from the flea market circuit. He was always so happy and full of life.

Dear Garrett family;
We were taken back at the news of our friends death. In the last 36 years of knowing you all, we have always enjoyed the brief few moments spent together. The Lord's work moved us to different places and we were not allowed to enjoy your fellowship as we would have loved to do. Our first memory of Sammy as a young man just after marrying Deb, was that Sammy always had an extensive prayer life before the service in the old building. It help set a desire in my heart to want to touch God in that manner.
God will remain the same to you all in the bad as well as good times. HE IS FAITHFUL!! I regret I am unable to attend as I am in revival in Missisippi. Talk to you soon.
