Bower, Claire Elizabeth "Lisa" Brown,

died unexpectedly on March 26, 2015. She was 53 years old.

Despite the many trials she faced, Claire was a playful soul, with quick wit and a disarming smile. She was a passionate writer of poetry and short stories. Claire never hesitated to help a friend. She loved Kentucky, life's simple pleasures, and her family. Her generous spirit will be dearly missed.

Claire is survived by her children, Emily Endersstocker (Bryan), Elizabeth Stocker (Chris), and Samuel Stocker; grandchildren, Ashlynn Noelle Peak, Braxton Lee Decker, and Christopher Anthony Decker; brothers, John Zekausky (Barbara) and Jesse Brown (Angela); nieces, Amy Jo Lasley (Larry) and Angela Clark; nephews, Luke Zaring (Dawn), and Joe Clark.

She was preceded in death by her mother, June Fugate Brown; father, Paul Gene Brown Sr.; brother, Paul Gene Brown Jr.; sister-in-law, Frances Brown; sisters, Charlet Brown, Barbara Zekausky, and Rebecca Brown.

A memorial service is planned for Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Duncan Memorial Chapel, located at 5600 Old Floydsburg Road, Crestwood, KY. Her ashes will be scattered at a private family ceremony.
