Roger J. Patenaude was Dracut Sewer Dept. superintendent; 71 DRACUT Roger J. Patenaude, 71, a resident of Dracut, died peacefully on Saturday evening, July 18, 2009, at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family. Born in Lowell on July 9, 1938, he was a son of the late William G. and Cecile R. (LeBrun) Patenaude. Mr. Patenaude was a co-owner of the Dracut Sewer Service for 35 years and retired from the Town of Dracut as Superintendent of the Sewer Department, a post held for 19 years. He leaves his beloved wife of 38 years, Dorothea S. (Fantini) Patenaude; six sons, Ted Patenaude of Lowell, Michael Patenaude and his wife, Monique (Chouinard) of Dracut, Jason Patenaude of Dracut, Roger Patenaude and his wife, Kathleen (Pare) of Pelham, NH, Russell Patenaude and his wife, Dawn (Gervais) of Dracut, and Leo Patenaude of Ohio; two daughters, Karen Barnett and her husband, Sam of Ohio and Robin O'Rourke and her husband, Michael of Wolfeboro, NH; two brothers, Richard "Mike" Patenaude and his wife, Pauline, and William Patenaude and his wife, Janet, all of Lowell; two sisters-in-law, Christina Patenaude of Nashua, NH, and Betty Fantini of Lowell; a brother-in-law, Francis Fantini and his wife, Lisa of Lawrence; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of the late Joseph Patenaude, brother of the late Maurice P. Patenaude, Sr., uncle of the late Richard W. Patenaude, Jr., and brother-in-law of the late Ted Fantini. PATENAUDE Relatives and friends may call at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth St., from 4 until 8 PM on Tuesday. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 9 AM in St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Rd., Dracut. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
