Catherine Bisson Obituary
Lowell, sophomore at Bridgewater State; 20
LOWELL -- Catherine A. Bisson, age 20, of Lowell, a beloved daughter of Victor N. and Anne Marie (Gagnon) Bisson, died unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, March 23, 2010, at the Children's Hospital in Boston, where she was lovingly cared for throughout her life.
She was born on October 22, 1989 in Lowell.
Catie was currently a sophomore at Bridgewater State College where she was studying English Writing. She was also a graduate of Ste Jeanne d'Arc School and Lowell High School, Class of 2008.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis Parish in Dracut.
Catie was a great, glorious light with the heart of a warrior and kindness of a saint who embraced every moment spent with her family and friends. She was a creative and caring person whose life was music to everyone around her.
Catie loved to read everything and wrote passionately.
She will not be forgotten.
Surviving her in addition to her parents are her two brothers, Daniel A. Bisson of North Adams, MA, and Michael P. Bisson of Lowell; her sister, Samantha M. Bisson of Lowell; her grandparents, Robert and Claire Gagnon of Lowell, and Paul and Ruth Bisson of Pelham, NH; also her uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear friends.
BISSON -- died on March 23, 2010. Miss Catherine A. Bisson, age 20, a daughter of Victor N. and Anne Marie (Gagnon) Bisson. Relatives and friends may call at the ROLAND W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME 308 Pawtucket Street, Lowell on Friday from 3 until 7 p.m. ATTENDANT PARKING. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Francis Parish, 115 Wheeler Rd., Dracut, where everyone is asked to meet. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Donations may be made in Catie's honor to the Cardiovascular Program at Children's Hospital Boston, Attn: Peter Laussen, MD, 300 Longwood Ave., Bader #602, Boston, MA 02115. I am so sorry for your loss. I went to BSC with Catie and I believe she was in one of my classes. We did not know each other very well but, to me, she seemed like a lovely person and I wish I had gotten to know her better. I want to express my deepest sympathy to the Bisson family. Catie was one of the nicest young ladies I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, she is now an angel amoung us. Catie was my daughter's first color guard student at LHS, Renee was so excited to have Catie on the team, we fondly remember the hot summer days of practice at our home doing routines over and over. Catie will be dearly missed, please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.
