TYNGSBORO -- Helen M. (Bell) Farrow, 96, of Tyngsboro, died Sunday, August 11th at Heritage Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in Lowell surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Wilbur C. "Bill" Farrow with whom she celebrated their 77th wedding anniversary on April 6th of this year.

Born in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, June 28, 1917, the daughter of the late C. Adelbert and the late Gertrude (Burton) Bell, she attended the Winslow Elementary School in Tyngsboro and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1935.

Before retiring, Helen was employed as Office Manager and Bookkeeper with the former Shur Fine Market in Tyngsboro. Previously, she was a Postal Clerk at the Tyngsboro Post Office.

Helen was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. After retirement, she spent approximately 30 years in Lillian, AL where she was an active member of the Lillian United Methodist Church. Helen was an avid Red Sox fan and loved to read and do crossword puzzles.

In addition to her husband, Bill, Helen is survived by a daughter Nancy Deeney and her husband John of Nashua, NH and Naples, FL; two sons Charles F. Farrow and his wife Tootsie of Lillian, AL and Wayne A. Farrow and his wife Sharyn of Westford, MA; six grandchildren Charles W. Farrow and his wife Kris Gines of Carlisle, MA, Chester Farrow of Tyngsboro, MA, Carla Christman of Groton, MA, Carin Denommee and her husband Guy of Tyngsboro, MA, Stacey Farrar and her husband Roger of Merrimack, NH and Pamela Hardy and her husband Jason of Westford, MA; eleven great-grandchildren Audrie Stefanini and her husband Mark of Framingham, MA, Samantha and Amanda Farrow of Tyngsboro, MA, Jordan and Davis Farrow of Carlisle, MA, Tyler and Drew Denommee of Tyngsboro, MA, Ashley and Courtney Farrar of Merrimack, NH and Mason and Miranda Hardy of Westford, MA; two sisters-in-law Christina Bell of Tyngsboro, MA and June Duff of Pensacola, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also sister of the late Avis Tilton, George Bell and Arthur Bell.

FARROW -- In Lowell, Aug. 11, 2013, at Heritage Nursing, Helen M. (Bell) Farrow, 96, of Tyngsboro, wife of Wilbur C. "Bill" Farrow. In keeping in accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service to be held Saturday morning at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher at 11 o'clock. Burial to follow at Thompson Burying Ground, in Tyngsboro. The family requests in lieu of flowers a donation may be made in her memory to Tyngsboro Historical Commission, 25 Bryants Lane, Tyngsboro, MA 01879.
