I met Jay while helping with the Saint Mother Teresa Homeless Ministry from St. Francis Church in Dracut. He was on the upswing getting away from his addiction. We spoke often in the next few weeks. He spoke about how he was done with the drugs. He cried about how he saw such great love in our work and interactions. He then disappeared for several months and I found out he had a job. He recently reappeared and I struck up a conversation with him. I could tell things weren't right. I truly hoped to help get him back on the path he knew was Truth. My son and I will keep Jay in our prayers. His earthly struggle is over. So sad.
