Patricia "Patti" Raye (Bell) Dubois
loving mother, grandmother

sister and friend

Patricia "Patti" Raye (Bell) Dubois, 69 of Dracut, loving mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, godmother, and friend died surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 9th at Lowell General Hospital after a three-and-a-half-year battle with breast cancer that she fought with so much courage until her final day.

She was born on July 22, 1949, in Lowell, a daughter of Lorraine (Gagnon) (Bell) Bragan and the late James R. Bell.

Patti was educated through the Lowell school system and graduated from Keith Hall in 1967, and finished at the top of her class at the Greater Lowell Technical School Licensed Practical Nurse Program in 1978. She worked for Umass Lowell for 32 years until her retirement in 2015, She loved going to work every day and formed many lasting friendships which she cherished.

She was a longtime parishioner at St Michael's Church in Lowell and a supporter of St Michael's School. Prior to her breast cancer diagnosis she had become a volunteer for St. Vincent De Paul.

Patti felt her greatest accomplishment was her three children. She loved being a mother, but her greatest joy was being a grandmother. She gave selflessly to others never expecting anything in return. Seeing other people happy is what gave her happiness.

She was very generous with her home and hosted many holidays and family gatherings, she had a passion for cooking and loved bringing people together. She loved shopping with her daughter and their shared love of Disney, and she enjoyed going to shows with her mother. What gave her the most happiness was being with her grandchildren she loved them so dearly.

Patti is survived by her mother Lorraine Bragan of Lowell, her three children William and his wife Lyn-Marie Dubois, Jennifer Patterson and her husband Greg and Michael Dubois all of Dracut, her grandchildren Lauren Elizabeth Dubois of Derry, NH, Andrew James Dubois, William Dubois, and Bryn-Marie Dubois all of Dracut, and Khristine Patterson of Methuen. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Mickey and his wife Joann Bell of Pelham, NH, Maureen and her husband Carl Antifonario of Windham, NH, Terrence and his wife Diane Bell of Lowell, Bridget Bell and Maryann Morgan of Lowell, her sister-in-law Donna Cochrane of Dracut, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Welcoming Patti to the hereafter will be her infant brother James R. Bell, father James R. Bell, brother Timothy C. Bell, stepfather John S. Bragan, and her grandmother Catherine Gagnon with whom she shared a special bond.

In keeping with Patti's giving spirit, her remains will be donated to the Anatomical Gift Program at the Umass Medical School. Knowing her love of flowers, we invite you to plant some in her memory in the spring. Services will be private.

The family would like to give a very special thanks to the Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center. The care she was given by all the staff that treated her will never be forgotten.
