Richard "Rick" Pelletier, 65, of Dracut passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital.

He was born in Lowell on July 6, 1955, a son of the late Clarence Alexander Pelletier and Gladys (Stys) Pelletier.

Rick grew up in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High. He went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Marines.

Prior to his retirement last year, Rick worked for the City of Lowell in the Department of Public Works, Land and Buildings Division for over 20 plus years.

He enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, and spending time in the mountains and at the beach. Most of all, he loved the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren who affectionately knew him as "Papa".

Rick is survived by his loving companion, Teresa Koukias of Dracut, his three children; Shane Pelletier of Dracut, Shannon Nunez and her husband Jesus of Lowell and Krysten Pelletier and her partner Jason Ferrer of Lowell, two sisters; Maureen Chapman and her husband Donald of Punta Gorda, FL and Elaine Mieczkowski and her husband Walter of Lowell, eleven grandchildren and a brother in-law, Dennis Brunelle and his wife Cindy of Burlington.

He was the husband of the late Sandra L. (Brunelle) Pelletier and grandfather of the late Steven Pelletier.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 20th from 9 to 11:30 am at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT. A graveside service will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford. Funeral Director, Paul A. Hardy, Jr. For online condolences, please visit DRACUTFUNERALHOME.COM

Rick was one of the nicest people that you could have known. He always had a big smile on his face and used to say good morning to me as I made my way across the courtyard. He will truly be missed.
