Rita Alice Morse
of Lowell; Loving wife, mother,
grandmother, and great-grandmother

LOWELL -- Rita Alice Morse, age 89, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died peacefully on Sunday, September 2, 2012, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Lorna and Robert Edie in North Billerica, Massachusetts.

She was the beloved wife of the late Richard F. Morse, the love of her life, with whom she celebrated 64 years of marriage on June 30, 2011.

Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late Albert & Alice (Paquette) (Constantineau) Morrell. She was raised in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1942.

Rita was a communicant of St. Margaret Church of Lowell for the past 55 years.

Rita is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Pauline (D'Amour) Morse of Westford; three daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Stanley Bardzik of Lowell, Lorna and Robert Edie of North Billerica, and Brenda Raymond of Lowell; her cherished grandchildren, Kerri (Morse) and her husband, James MacKay, Krysten (Morse) and her husband, Brent Oakleaf, Eric and his wife, Barbara (Borsa) Bardzik, Ryan Bardzik, Lauren (Edie) and her husband, Moe Giordano, Shane and his wife, Tara (Caponigro) Edie, Nicole and Tyler White; her cherished great-grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Adam and Hannah MacKay, Claudia and Alexander Oakleaf, Madison and Alexis Giordano, Shannen and Sienna Bardzik, and Scarlette Edie.

All remember Rita as being generous, unconditionally loyal to one and all, and fiercely proud of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and their accomplishments. Rita touched many lives and many may recall the pleasure she took in crocheting and sewing. Her greatest joy, however, was the company, love, and well-being of her family and friends, both here and in Winter Haven, Florida.
